What is Way Up! ?
Way Up! is the identity of language classes for BiM and PGE students (in their first & second years) at Rennes School of Business.
It applies to both English & second languages.
Activities in language classes encourage communication and expression in real-life situations. This is active language learning.
Students follow different "Pods" which cover structured themes, to help practice language skills.
Which languages ?
English is considered the first language (“LV1”) for students on BiM and PGE programmes.
All students - with the exception of certain international recruits - follow English classes at some stage in their cursus - irrespective of nationality, mother tongue, previous studies, etc. etc.
Second language lessons (“LV2”) are also obligatory for all students on BiM and PGE programmes.
Students cannot “choose” a second language => the second language is the one which a student previously studied during their education (or it is 'French' for international recruits).
Beginner classes are not available in second languages (with the exception of beginner Chinese, which is reserved for exceptional cases).
