Information for PGE 2 students - 2nd year entrance only
What language class will I take?
According to the curriculum for your course, you will follow:
either English classes
or for French speakers => a class in your 2nd foreign language
or for non-French speakers => French classes
Students who - in their Admissions File - did not show that they have the minimum required level to reach the Graduation Requirement for English* will follow English classes.
Students who - in their Admissions File - showed that they already have the minimum required level to reach the Graduation Requirement for English will follow 2nd language / French classes.
* it is not because you have shown the required level in your Admissions File, that the Graduation Requirement has been fulfilled according to the specific rules of your programme.
See below for more details.
NB - Students joining school from outside of France, will all have French classes in the second semester.
What is the Graduation Requirement for English?

I want to change my second language, what should I do?
In the PGE programme, second languages are not 'optional' and Rennes SB is not able to offer a 'choice' of second language.
It is not possible to "change" your second language.
Students automatically follow the second language which they learnt in their previous studies (and international recruits who do not speak French will follow French classes).
Beginner classes are not available in second languages, with the exception of beginner Chinese (and French).
This exception is only applied when students do not already have a 'second language'. In this case, the student is enrolled in beginner Chinese class.
