What is a House?
A House is a large, cross-campus and cross-program team that you’re automatically assigned to upon arrival at RSB. It includes students from all programs and levels—Bachelor, PGE, MSc, international students, exchange students, apprentices—from both Rennes and Paris campuses, but also all Staff and Faculty members. Houses are built to create positive impact: on campus, on people, on local communities, and on businesses.
How many Houses are there?
There are four Houses at RSB: Terra, Aqua, Ignis, and Aeris.
How are Houses assigned?
It’s a mystery! The assignment process is part of the House experience — and it’s confidential. 😉
Do I have to participate?
No. You’re assigned to a House, but participation in activities is voluntary and has no academic impact.
Why should I get involved?
It’s a fun and low-pressure way to:
- Meet students from other backgrounds and programs
- Attend or organize creative, business, and athletic events
- Grow skills like leadership, teamwork, communication and creativity
- Represent your House in friendly competitions
Does it replace associations?
Not at all. It complements them. If you’re in an association, you also belong to a House. Houses help amplify communication and participation across the school.
Can I gain points for my House?
Yes! Throughout the year, you’ll be able to earn points by taking part in events—whether academic, athletic, entrepreneurial, artistic, or social. Even students on exchange or in gap year will have chances to contribute.
Can I change my House?
No. Once assigned, your House is for life! You’ll keep it throughout your time at RSB and even as an alum.
