A major step forward for student well‑being is coming soon: starting May 4, 2026, all students in France will be able to enjoy a full meal for just €1 in every Crous university restaurant. This national initiative aims to strengthen food accessibility and support students facing rising living costs.
🎓 Who Can Benefit?
The €1 meal will be available in all Crous restaurants and, when possible, in cafeterias. It is open to:
- university students,
- students with a carte d’étudiant des métiers (apprentices & work‑study students),
- PhD candidates,
- volunteers in civic service.
👉 The only requirement: having an active Izly account to confirm student status.
Each €1 meal includes:
- one main dish,
- up to two sides (starter, cheese, dessert, fruit…).
Additional items remain available at standard Crous prices.
Students can access the offer once per service, at lunch and dinner when the site offers evening service.
📱 2. Activate your Izly account
To get the €1 meal, you must have an active Izly account, which is the official payment system used in all Crous restaurants.
👉 Izly allows the restaurant to verify your student status. 👉 You can pay by QR code, app, or student card.
If you haven’t activated Izly yet, check your student email — you should have received an activation link.
🏫 3. Go to a Crous restaurant
The €1 meal is available in a Crous university restaurants. Just show up during opening hours — lunch or dinner, depending on the site.

At checkout:
- open your Izly app,
- scan the QR code,
and pay €1 — that’s it.
