HOW DOES THE UNIVERSITY ALLOCATION PROCESS WORK?
Universities are allocated according to a ranking which is based on your academic results. Depending on the classification of students, the OFL takes place in several stages of allocation e.g., students classified from 1 to 150 (wave 1) make their choices first, then students classified from 151 to 300 (wave 2)
When will I find out my ranking?
For an Exchange in semester 3: the ranking is published in January. It is based on your GPA score before re-sits of the 1st semester of the PGE1.
For an Exchange in semester 4: the ranking is published in June. It is based on your GPA score before re-sits of the 1st year (PGE1).
For an Exchange in semesters 5 + 6 (full year): the ranking is published in January. If you do not take a gap year, the ranking is based on your GPA score of the 1st year (semesters 1 and 2 - PGE1). If you take a gap year, the ranking is based on your GPA score of the 4th semester (2nd semester of PGE2).
As part of the Work-study pathway - RPI (2 years): the ranking is published in January. It is based on your GPA score before re-sits of the 1st semester of the PGE1.
How do I make my selection?
Online, via an Online Training Offer (OFL) accessible on your RISE account.
How many universities should I choose?
You can choose between 9 and 12 universities, in order of preference.
How are allocations carried out?
Based on your ranking, we look at your 1st choice. If it is available, then you are assigned to the corresponding university. If there are no more places left for your 1st choice of university, the 2nd choice will be considered, then the 3rd choice etc., up until your 12th choice, if necessary. You keep your place in the ranking even if a destination is unavailable.
When will I know which university I am assigned to?
The results of the Partner University allocations are communicated within 3 days of the closure of the OFL.
