India shop : Situated in the city centre, the smell of the spices will make you travel to your home country
Paris
Indian Food Stores in Paris
if you are craving for a taste of India, find your way to Gare du Nord and satisfy every Indian grocery need of yours.
Most of the South Asian community is located around the famous Gare du Nord in the North of the city. Both commercially and culturally (see also listings for annual street celebrations).
The stores
the 3 major ones are Velan, VT Cash and Carry, and VS Cash and Carry. You will find an assortment of the typical Indian spices, vegetables, pastes, pickles, rice, breads, mixtures, ready-to-eat stuff, and more – you name it, they got it!
Asian Food Stores in Paris
This list is far from exhaustive, but will get you started with the major outlets for Asian groceries and cooking wares/dishes.
Tang Freres (All Asian Foods)
Stores are located in the 13th and 15th Arrondissements (4 major store locations in Paris city limits). The oldest and largest is located near the Porte d’Ivry on Metro Line 7 at 48 avenue d’Ivry.
Japanese & Korean
Near the Opera Garnier in central Paris, following the rue Sainte-Anne, you will find the largest concentration of Japanese and Korean mini-markets, services and restaurants geared to these two cuisines. Though there are multiple Chinese (many styles) and Vietnamese restaurants, the area is best for Korean and Japanese cuisines. The choice is enormous!
Kioko – Japanese (rue Sainte-Anne)
K-Mart – Korean (Beaugrenelle 15th arr, Champs-Elysees & rue Sainte-Anne)
