HOW DOES THE UNIVERSITY ALLOCATION PROCESS WORK?
Universities are allocated according to a ranking which is based on your academic results. Depending on the classification of students, the OFL takes place in several stages of allocation e.g., students classified from 1 to 150 (wave 1) make their choices first, then students classified from 151 to 300 (wave 2)
When will I find out my ranking?
A temporary ranking, including all AST2 students, is provided at the same time as the University Placement Offer, in early August.
As part of the Option 1 (Expand): your ranking is based on your GPA before resit for semester 3 (1st semester of the PGE2). Ranking available in February.
As part of the Option 2 (Explore): the final ranking (with the number of students who chose the Explore pathway for a exchange abroad in semester 4) is communicated in mid-September.
As part of the Option 3 (Work-study - RPI (2 years)): Your ranking is based on your GPA before resit for semester 3 (1st semester of the PGE2). Ranking available in February.
How do I make my selection?
Online, via an Online Training Offer (OFL) accessible on your RISE account. If you wish to know more about the instructions, you can refer to "Exchange abroad > Allocation process information" tab on the RISE plateform.
How many universities should I choose?
You can choose between 9 and 12 universities, in order of preference.
How are allocations carried out?
Based on your ranking, we look at your 1st choice. If it is available, then you are assigned to the corresponding university. If there are no more places left for your 1st choice of university, the 2nd choice will be considered, then the 3rd choice etc., up until your 12th choice, if necessary. You keep your place in the ranking even if a destination is unavailable.
When will I know which university I am assigned to?
The results of the Partner University allocations are communicated within 3 days of the closure of the OFL.
