Is there a charge for joining an association?
No, students do not have to pay extra to be part of an association.
On the other hand, the events proposed by the associations (concerts, conferences, specific actions on or off campus...) may be subject to a fee.
Is there an association life in the Bachelor programme?
Yes, students participate fully in the life of the school, notably through the activities of the Student Life Office (BVE), the Student Office, the Sports Office and the 26 associations of Rennes SB.
The Student Life Office (BVE)
This is the association of the Bachelor programme. It organises all the events for the students of the Bachelor programme, the integration day or the admissions days for the entrance exams. The main mission of the BVE is to work for the good of the whole student life of the Bachelor programme, by organising for example inter-promos or inter-programmes activities so that the students of Rennes School of Business share a stronger cohesion from year to year.
The Sports Office (BDS)
It manages the daily sports activities in the School:
- The TIME, 14 weekly sports training sessions,
- The Tournoi du Grand Ouest (TGO).
Students in the Bachelor programme have access to the training sessions and the sports hall. All they need to do is submit a medical certificate on RISE that is less than one year old. For training sessions, once the certificate has been submitted, they are free to come to all the sports on offer. They can of course come to the BDS office for more information on coaches or training locations!
The TEAM CHALLENGE
Created in September 2019, the ECRICOME Challenge is the 3rd largest student sports meeting. This sports competition pits the 4 campuses of the 4 major business schools in the ECRICOME test bank against each other: Kedge Business School Marseille and Bordeaux campuses, Néoma Business School Reims and Rouen campuses, Rennes School of Business and EM Strasbourg.
For 3 days, the 4 schools will compete in 7 sports: football, handball, rugby, tennis, volleyball, basketball and athletics. But this confrontation also takes place on the sidelines with about 200 supporters per delegation who are eagerly supporting their teams.
Nearly 2000 students are gathered; whether they are sportsmen, supporters, cheerleaders or cheerleaders, they have only one objective, to win the three trophies put at stake each year:
- the Sports Trophy,
- the Ambiance trophy,
- the Fair Play trophy.
More than a sporting competition, the Ecricome Challenge is a state of mind: Solidarity, Cohesion, Effort and Commitment are the key words of our project. The Team Challenge is open to students from all PGE, Bachelor, MSC and international programmes.
